About Us
Amplified Electrics & Air is a Melbourne based, owned and operated, licensed and insured, Registered Electrical Contractor with over 10 years experience in the Electrical industry. We predominantly take on residential and commercial projects and industrial installations, specialising in but definitely not limited to, Electrical and Data cabling systems. We also offer a range of other services such as Smart Home automation system design and integration with Audio/Visual systems as well as Split System Air-Conditioning installations.

We offer a full range of Electrical cabling services, from new installations to upgrades and repairs or full re-wires. We understand the importance of safety, and our services are designed to ensure the integrity of your home or business’ electrical system.
General Electrical Installations
At Amplified, we do jobs of all sizes, whether installing a single light fitting, replacing an existing light with a ceiling fan, to running entire new circuits, no job is too small and we’ve got you covered.
Switchboard/Mains Upgrades
Including professional switchboard upgrades from outdated ceramic fuses.
Installation of new switchboard enclosures for additional space or replacement of existing safety switches. Testing and certification included. We can also offer advice and guidance regarding anything else to do with switchboards to offer our customers peace of mind.
Please note: Some switchboard works is subject to inspection by a Licensed Electrical Inspector who have their own independent charges.
24/7 Emergency Callouts
Our experienced electricians are on call 24/7 and can respond to any electrical emergency to get you out of a pickle.
Rental Safety Checks - Electrical & Smoke Alarms
In Victoria, rental providers must ensure that electrical safety checks are performed every 2 years by a Licensed Electrician. This includes all electrical installations, fittings, and appliances.
It is also a requirement for all smoke alarms to be checked every year, to ensure they are operating correctly, we will test their alarms for proper functioning, replace any defective parts or components and verify that there is an interlinking cable between different smoke detectors, as per the regulations.

Renovations - in circumstances where plaster (walls and ceiling) have been removed for the purposes of installation of services; pricing will be lowered for rough in stage, 2nd visit (cut-out & fit-off) charges apply.
New circuit from switchboard - single story $600 + materials (material cost dependent on size of cable, distance of cable run and RCBO rating)
New circuit from switchboard - double story $900 + materials * (material cost dependent on size of cable, distance of cable run and RCBO rating)
* New circuits in a double story - plaster may need to be cut to navigate cabling on the ground floor due to no ceiling access -
At Amplified, we take pride in delivering clean, quality and professional finishes, although our primary expertise is electrical, we are also skilled in patching and restoring plaster after cabling installations, with only minor sanding and paint to complete, ultimately saving time and cost on other tradespeople - cost applies to cover labour & materials.
Installation of New Appliances
$200 per appliance; cook top *, oven etc.
*A plumber is required to disconnect and cap your existing gas line prior to the connection of an electric cooktop.
$450 New Canopy Rangehood
Rangehood replacement - Hourly Rate.
Note - A plumber may be required to install new ducting or vents for new Rangehoods.
Make Safe/Disconnection of appliances $100 per appliance.
We are able to dispose of your old appliance for a fee, provided we are notified prior to commencing the work.
